In the vast number of networking equipment brands, 3Com found its place in the 1980s when they provided state of the art ethernet networking cards for computer systems of that era. If you owned a DEC or IBM PC, chances are you had some networking hardware that was closely related to 3Com. During the 1990s and early 2000s 3Com was at the height of their game, when hardware such as their switches, routers, voice IP systems and similar were good buys. During this time, 3Com merged with USRobotics and Palm, Inc. which vastly expanded 3Com’s business and market share for the better. As of 2010, the company’s assets were acquired by Hewlett-Packard and 3Com went defunct. 3Com Manuals are on high demand these days as well, due to their strong presence in the used networking hardware market.
Similar to the 3Com OfficeConnect 8/TPO Manual, the 3Com WL-561 Manual is no longer being actively marketed or supported by the company.
